Celebrated our 1 year anniversary here at El Mezquite and we’re very happy. Loved the attentive and friendly staff. We were really happy with the food we got- I got the chimichanga and my husband got a burger and they were both really good. We would describe the food at “New Mexican food” it is just Mexican food with a slightly modern twist and we really enjoyed it. El Mezquite gave us complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Very happy will return.

Beautiful outdoor patio and music. Service was fantastic and food presentation spot on. The pork sauce was amazing and the wing seasoning was delicious. Chicken was juicy but a little bland. All in all great place for dinner for 2..

This place is great. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. Beer selection is great. I ordered the Steak Frites, came out perfect cooked, medium rare. The manager came and dropped off a completely large portion of chips and salsa and said he wanted me to have something to munch on because a huge 20 top order went in just before I ordered. Such professional and thoughtful service. And, my steak came out in no time. This place is on point. Highly recommended

I didn’t stay at this hotel this trip but knew I had to come here for classic eggs Benedict and bottomless mimosas. Service is always exceptional.

I travel from Phoenix to Tucson for work routinely. One of the reasons I stay at this hotel is because I like this restaurant. I know I can enjoy watching a game at the bar and have a nice dinner. After driving two hours to get there, I really don’t want to get back in the car to go eat somewhere else. This is a great bonus for me. The 3 chicken enchiladas are my go-to so far.

We discovered the Mesquite Grill driving by and seeing the lovely, inviting patio! The staff we encountered were all really friendly and delivered service with a smile. My friend and I both got a burger accompanied by yucca fries that were absolutely delicious. Definitely will be back! Side note this restaurant is part of the new hotel by Tucson Convention Center

A really nice restaurant and bar located at the TCC! We went in last night and enjoyed apps and drinks. It has a cool atmosphere, plenty of space, and a nice outdoor area!

This new gem of a restaurant is located inside the Double Tree Hilton and delivers some mainstay tex mex with culinary precision and neomex flavors while paying homage to the old. Bringing forth excellent (and vegan friendly when asked) sustenance paired with an eclectic drink selection an intimate patio atmosphere or an indoor dining adds to the mid-high end dining experience without the frills of needing to dress up to feel fancy. Bonus there is live music. The staff is very courteous, attentive and enthused to be there thus far and takes pride on co creating your best dining experience. I could tell each employee has been excited about their training and what they can offer to the community via culinary excellence and customer service. Upon my first visit I would bet the El Mezquite Grill & Taqueria will be a force to be reckoned with in the Downtown area. Thankful for my Easter dinner and a waitress named Alicia.
